Audit and investigation of administrative office affairs

  • The Council is to conduct an audit on an executive organ's[a local autonomous entity's] general administrative office affairs within the 7 days during a regular session every year based on Art.36 of the Local Government Act and as for specific matters of a local autonomous entity's office affairs, the Council is able to make an investigation of administrative office affairs by a decision atf a general meeting in case of a proposal made by more than one-third of the enrolled members.
  • For the purpose of conducting an audit or investigation, if necessary, the Council can make a request for a site inspection, submission of the related papers, attendance of the ward office head or related public officers and their testimony after letting them put an oath as a witness or their explanations as a reference.
  • A ward office head or related public officers can present themselves at a Council or the proper committee to report the current disposal process of administrative office affairs or state their opinions and respond to inquiries.
  • Suseong Ward or the proper organ is to take care of the matters requested to be corrected immediately and report the disposal result to the Council.
